Conventional medicine, we all know, has given us unprecedented benefits over the last century or two, but there are limits to its healing, and we can feel disappointed that the same old niggles, pains and problems can hang around unresolved. We all have tremendous resources within us to heal ourselves. That needs us to enlist the help of our subconscious, which desires our health and wholeness, whether physical, psychological, or emotional. And curiously, the more we discover about disease and well-being, the more it seems that these three are all connected at a deep level. Think about feeling nervous before your driving test. How does your anxiety show? It could be sweaty palms, feeling a little sick, needing to go to the loo. Our bodies manifest our feelings all the time.
Hypnosis stills the chatter of our conscious mind and enables us to focus on the understanding of our situation that exists at a deep level within all of us, and equips us to deal with it. It is a restful and relaxing therapy, and clients frequently feel energised and renewed. You are in control; the hypnotherapist just facilitates your journey inwards, from which you return resourced, enlightened and strengthened.
